These days in Brussels we’re experiencing wonderful works of Spanish painter Francisco de Zurbarán at the expo at BOZAR.
Each Thursday at 19h there is a concert in the exposition space where young musicians are performing music from Zurbarán’s age and finding connection between he’s paintings and music of he’s contemporaries. I will, along with my colleagues, take a part in those concert series.
Anonymous asked: Do you perform in Belgrado, we visit soon.
Unfortunately I have no performance scheduled in Belgrade for the moment!
My greetings, to whom may I know?
Happy holidays and Happy new year!
A demo recording of Danseur de vent, a piece for solo harpsichord that a young and marvelous Serbian composer, Jug Marković has dedicated to me this year.
I am very impatient to share with you the music that I did for Sashadesign new Paperal video.
Sasha’s mask are made at his own home and containing a very personal touch each of these pieces so to go with that I did a “home” arrangement of the second movement of my second harpsichord concerto for Viola da Gamba (played by Justin Glaie) and harpsichord (played by myself) and recorded it on a small copy of Ruckers harpsichord in my living room with an amateur recording device so it would give as bigger feeling of a homemade product.
I hope you enjoy it!
After a long day of doing a demo and premier recording of “Danseur de vent” by Jug. K. Markovic a friend recorded me while relaxing with this beautiful Allemande.
I am happy to announce that at this moment, amazing Sashadesign studio and I are working on a new video PAPERAL - Behind the scenes. This video will features Sasha’s beautiful new masks (check out here) and a dear friend and very talented musician Justin Glaie on viola da gamba who helped me perform and edit the music I wrote for this video.
If you haven’t seen our first video, check it up above. Also check out the mask Sasha made for me last year here.
The last concert I gave was with Belgrade Baroque ensemble at the XVIII Belgrade Early Music Festival and beyond having a great pleasure playing with very dear people and in front of a great audience, the concert was quite a struggle with the weather conditions - extreme heat (up to almost 40°C) with huge humidity in the church that day. Why I say this is because I was amazed by the absolute hero of that day - colleague Katarina Djukic- Popovic who lost 2 E strings on her violin during the concert and one before it. Finally she bravely played the Musical Offering on a colleagues violin.
Tuning the harpsichords for the morning rehearsal of Bach’s triple harpsichord concertos.
Tomorrow I am playing my very first and the premier performance of Bach’s Passion according to St. John with Collegium Musicum Bruxelles ensemble.
